FOOTBALL NEWS FROM AROUND AUSTRALIA:
In the highly thought of South Australian Super League, Australian Soccer Experience club, the Adelaide Western Strikers fought hard for a 0-0 draw with league contenders Cumberland United. Other results in South Australia include the 3-1 whitewash handed to Adelaide Galaxy, by local rivals Adelaide City. The score was 3-0 on 83 minutes, but fortunately for Galaxy Joe Wright managed to score a late consolation goal in the 90th minute.
The Brisbane Premier League is starting to creep away from Redlands United, who unfortunately lost 2-0 away at Rocehdale United. The Australian Soccer Experience club has had a testing first year in the top tier of Queensland football and will no doubt be looking actively to strengthen their line-up for 2011.
