JAMIE REED HITS THE NET AGAIN.
STATE LEAGUE RESULTS:
This week yet again proved a fruitful one for Stirling Lions in the Western Australia Premier League, managing a 3-2 victory over local rivals, Balcatta SC. Perhaps most impressive was that 3 signees from the Australian Soccer Experience were on the score-sheet, proving once again that Stirling are a force to be reckoned with.
Round 15 proved a successful one for Sorrento SC as well as they managed a well deserved 2-1 victory at home to the hard working Swan United. Both Stirling and Sorrento are in amongst the finals positions way past the half way mark of the season, much of this owed to the efforts of the Australian Soccer Experience recruits.
Bunbury Forum Force once again secured 3 points at home to the talented, yet struggling Ashfield SC. Australia Soccer Experience recruit, Ollie McGee opening up the scoreboard with a 57th minute goal, which in turn opened the floodgates for the regional club as they went on to win 3-1. All 4 goals came within an intense 15 minute period, providing the fans with an entertaining showcase of talent.
Bayswater City who are Bunburys main rivals also managed to keep within sight of the Forum Force, beating Forrestfield United 2-1 courtesy of a Gustavo Maralunda double.
In the closely fought South Australian Super league, Australian Soccer Experience club, Western Strikers will feel they dropped 2 points after drawing with Adelaide Metrostars at the weekend. Strikers took the lead in the 27th minute thanks to the individual skill of F Garcia, however allowed Ivan Karlovic to sneak the Metrostars back in the game in the 74th minute.
The erratic nature of Redlands United in the Brisbane Premier League was no different this week, drawing 3-3 at home to Eastern Suburbs. Australian soccer Experience recruit Jack Lyons scored twice for Redlands and managed to scrape them a point scoring the equalizer in the 90th minute. This season has been a peculiar one for Redlands, who have recently switched leagues. They have a very unpredictable nature, with the capability of destroying teams, yet being just as susceptible to losing to teams that would ordinarily be considered easy beats, however 2010 has proven to be a rebuilding year for the Brisbane club having moved from the Queensland state league to the Brisbane Premier league.
The highly anticipated match-up between Dandenong Thunder and South Melbourne in the Victorian Premier League lived up to its hype ending in a fiery 3-2 win for Dandenong. Australian Soccer Experience recruit, Jamie Reed bagged two for Dandenong, as well as Australian Soccer Experience recruit Kyle Joryeff scoring for South Melbourne. Sunshine Georgies season continues to decline suffering a 2-1 home defeat to Hume City.
